Commercial and stud beef producers traveled from Roma, Kingaroy, Toowoomba, Dalby and Meandarra to attend the ReproActive Day at "Dalby Downs" and they were not dissapointed. Speakers Paul Cusack from APLS and Lee Taylor Zoetis ran through several topics on weaning, nutrition, the rumen and how it to get the most from it and how its works, the effect this can have on fertility and future production implications, and the neccessary vaccinations covering common diseases and how significant weight and animal losses can be.
Overall it was a very successful day with a lot of questions asked and answered. On display were the last group of weaners that Burenda had weaned from the Glenmorgan area and also the Burenda portion of the Black Stump Angus & Brangus Bulls for 19th March 2019 sale.
The catering on the day was supplied by both Burenda Angus & Zoetis with hot damper, billy tea and CAAB steaks going down a treat.
Our next Open Day is on the 6th August 2019 - over 600 head on display - Roma & Clermont bulls and numerous calving females.
